THE GATHERING

Greetings Friends of G.V.N-C. Foundation:

Registration is now open for "The Gathering", October 9, 2010. "The Gathering" is a wholesome and spirited tribute to the vision of Mrs. Georgia V. Nichols-Campbell. As a major fundraising event, It brings Eudorians, former Eudorians, and Friends together in support of her idea and passion. Its goal is to provide financial assistance, through scholarships, for the educational pursuits of youth of the hometown of Mrs. Campbell, Eudora Arkansas.

This the Twelfth Annual "Gathering" will be held at the Reston Hyatt Hotel, Reston Virginia. This "one-day" fundraising event is scheduled to coincide with Reston Town Center "Oktoberfest" Festival. The popular festival features the best in fall brews with delicious traditional Oktoberfest fare from area restaurants. Join us on October 9th in the main pavilion at Reston Town Center to enjoy live entertainment and new culinary experiences.

Delicious Oktoberfest fare is for sale at the Pavilion through the duration of the event. Individual Oktoberfest food and beverage tickets may be purchased onsite for $1 each, or in sheets of 24 for $20! Pre-sale tickets are available online. A welcoming reception, optional self-guided tour of the Air and Space Museum, a "not like your Grandmothers" Tea-Party, a Saturday afternoon Social-mixer, and "Gathering of Eudorians", will preceed "The Gathering" Banquet, Dinnner and Dance on Saturday evening. Raffles, Vendors, a Silent Auction, and Door Prizes will make this a fun-filled, exciting and memorable event.
